The Nervous System
For the alcoholic or addict, nutritional supplemention is not a replacement for "talk" or "group" therapy, such as Alcoholics Anonymous, but rather an adjunct to such therapy.
The nervous system is the first body system to develop in the human embryoan indication of its importance to the rest of the body. It is sometimes referred to as the "master system" because of the regulatory effect which it exerts over the other body systems. The human nervous system is one of the systems most likely to suffer as a result of poor nutrition, abuse and stress. Nutritional support is therefore tremendously important today, especially considering the typical onslaught of junk foods which the body must contend with. Evidence is mounting rapidly that many of the common problems that plague the nervous system can be helped with the judicious use of herbs and other dietary supplements.
If you have six or more of the following indications, you may consider nutritional aid to the nervous system:
The key product for the nervous system is Nutri-Calm.
- Eat regular wholesome meals
- Avoid smoking, alcohol and stimulants
- Engage in regular invigorating exercise
- Manage stress
- Eat plenty of green, leafy vegetables, and sufficient protein (See Dietary Guidelines.)
